No log splitter?... no problem.
The volume of a cylinder is π r² h. These bins are 10' in diameter and 5' high. The volume of a cone is π r² h / 3. A cord is 4'x 4' x 8' or 128 cubic feet. Loose wood takes up 1.67 X the volume of stacked wood. I hand-split 7 bins full of firewood this summer (2023). Let's see: 7 x [π r² h' + (π r² 2')/3] x 1/1.67 / 128 = 7 x [3.14 x 5² x 5' + (3.14 x 5² x 2')/3] x 0.6 / 128 = 7 x [392.5 + 52.33] x 0.6 / 128 = 14.6 cords. Coors Light consumed = 0. - Nick Gromicko
